If you’re in Seattle looking for candied yams, mac and cheese, and collard greens – you have a home here.

Kingfish Cafe offers traditional soul food fare including fried chicken, shrimp and grits, catfish, and even gumbo!

The walls are adorned with large framed prints, reminiscent of a museum exhibit.  The restaurant has been a staple in the community since it’s opening in 1997.  The Coaston Family recipes are sprinkled throughout the menu.  They are Seattle natives but also travel to keep a menu fresh with ideas and relevant.

It’s definitely worth knowing.  Soul food in Seattle.  Hello.
